Open settings

  1. Type a forward slash

Type a forward slash, /, and pick /settings.
  2. Read the pop-up

A small pop-up appears. It shows your current Discord language, so you can see what Jibber is currently following.

Choose how Jibber picks a language

The pop-up offers two options.

Option What it does
Follow my Discord language Jibber keeps using whatever language your Discord app is set to. This is the default.
Always use a saved language Jibber always replies in the language you pick, regardless of your Discord setting.

If you choose the second option, type the name of the language you want in the text field, then press the button to save your choice. Jibber confirms what was saved, and only you can see the confirmation.

Naming a language

You can use a common name, such as Japanese, French, or Filipino, or a more specific tag, such as pt-BR for Brazilian Portuguese or zh-TW for Traditional Chinese.

See the languages page for the full explanation of what Jibber accepts.

Change it later

Run /settings again at any time to change your choice. To go back to following your Discord language, reopen settings and pick the first option.
